“Teachers Are Just Houseplants… With Anxiety and a Schedule” is an engaging and practical session designed to support educator well-being through realistic, sustainable self-care strategies. In a profession where time is limited and demands are constant, traditional self-care advice often doesn’t fit the reality of a teacher’s schedule. This session reframes self-care through a relatable lens, acknowledging that teachers need consistent conditions—not occasional breaks—to function at their best.

Participants will explore how factors like schedule constraints, decision fatigue, and emotional demands contribute to burnout, and will learn practical strategies to manage energy throughout the school day. Through real-life examples, guided reflection, and actionable planning, educators will identify small, manageable shifts that support well-being without adding extra time or unrealistic expectations. Attendees will leave with concrete tools they can implement immediately to create more balance, protect their energy, and sustain their effectiveness in the classroom.
